Social Networks (SN) offer an abundance of information on users, activities, and locations. Users share preferences and opinions in the form of content. The ubiquitous nature of SN results in a multitude of activities that not only generate but also consume content. Business Intelligence (BI) applications can utilise SN user content for strategic business decisions, such as online advertisement, finance and operations, product suitability and services for specific market segments.

This workshop aims to provide the forum that brings together researchers and industry practitioners to explore the recent experiences, methods, technologies, issues, and applications in the related fields. The cross-disciplinary nature of the subject suggests that fields of interest may include intelligent systems, linguistics, data analysis, recommender systems, visualization, management and business models, sociology, public sector innovation, to name a few.

BISON 2020 is held in conjunction with the 2020 IEEE/ACM International Conference on Advances in Social Networks Analysis and Mining (ASONAM).
